The C++17 Lands

Updated 3/15/2019: Buy a digital hi-res poster here https://alenacpp.onfastspring.com/

Updated 3/1/2017: Buy a poster here!

The C++17 map is here and it feels like a new map. That's because it's new.

The previous one was made 5 years ago and it looks ancient now. So here is the new one, which is up-to-date with the most recent Holy Standard changes.
We redid most of the graphics, but we kept the same unique style. So we have a proper license now. And soon we will have posters everyone was asking for. And we have posters everyone was asking for.

The most common asks:
Can I use it in my slides, partially or as a whole?
Yes, you can!

Can I use it to teach my students?
Yes, you can!

Can I print it and put hang it by desk or in a public place?
Yes, you can!

Can I get sources?
No.

But you cannot sell it for profit and claim you've made it. Sounds fair?

Previous versions:
The C++11 Lands
The C++ Lands. With sources.

  2. Great!
    It's just as the old proverb: "To a man with a hammer, everything looks like a nail - but to a man with C++, everything looks like a thumb".

    Jim is planning to start selling it in a few months. He has a valid concern that somebody might start selling posters for profit.

    We're getting a LOT of asks about adding Alex Stepanov and Scott Meyers. May be the next time? :-)

  13. You could also add a jumping PVS-Studio unicorn. I think this fairy-tale creature would be fit for this map. :)

  18. This is super! I've been following the map since 2014 but haven't thanked before.
    Thank you.
    The map has never led me astray!

    P.S. Really nice touch "Beyond the border" that "Terra Incognita: Programmers eat each other here!"

  19. Is there any way to have it in Europe, I'd love to buy the poster but it costs more than 50$ with shipping + import fees... I would print it myself but since the high-res one is not available I fear it might be blurry.

    Jim decreased the price to 22.99 USD, though it's still expensive to order it from Europe, I guess. He promised to make the hi-res version available in October.

  21. Like Lectem, I would like to buy it but not for $54. Shipping it to Europe is prohibitive. Is an hi-res version ready?
    Thanks, and great work!

  23. Awesome work, guys. I still have your first map from 2010 in my office.
    I'd like to buy printed one, but I am also from Europe and I am not willing to pay $34 just for shipping. Although I would gladly pay $30 directly to you for hi-res images. Your great work should be valued. Thank you for doing this.

  24. I live in Asia and the shipping cost for me is $45. That's crazy. :/

  25. If I could pay to get the hi-res version, I would gladly do that. :-)

  26. Hi, is an hi-res version available now :)? I am in the same situation as Lukas, the shipping costs for Europe are 3 times the cost of the map.

  29. Hello,

    Just bought it, and enjoying it so far.
    :-)

    Are there plans for a C++20 version?

    Thanks,

  32. > How can I have one?

    We sold out all the posters we had. You can still buy a hi-res digital version and print it in your local printing store. https://alenacpp.onfastspring.com/

    In a lot of cases, a lower-resolution version is enough, though.
